AGnES
From Capsil Wiki
Objectives: To demonstrate the feasibility of using telehealthcare in a sparsely populated remote area where GP numbers are small.
Details: This was called the AGnES project and took place over 12 months in Mecklenburg, Northern Germany. 48 patients used telehealthcare devices including blood pressure monitor, glucose monitor, one-lead and 12-lead ECG devices. 2 GPs and 3 practice nurses were involved and visited the homes regularly.
Results: 87.4% of the patients accepted AGnES-care as comparable to the usual GP-care. Over the course of the project, the GPs delegated an increasing number of both monitoring and interventional tasks to the AGnES-practice assistants. The GPs agreed that delegating tasks to a qualified practice assistant relieves them in their daily work.
