- Objectives - According to their website, The ultimate goal of the project is to assist older people in maintaining independent mobility and daily life activities and prevent injuries by allowing medical professionals to initiate interventions in the home environment. The consortium will contribute to this goal by developing, testing, validating, and making ready for the market, a smart, body-fixed, cell-based technology for mobility monitoring and conditioning, where cells can incorporate portable sensors and actuators. A key focus of this project is Useability.
- Details - The consortium consists of 8 partners from 6 different countries, Italy, The Netherlands, Germany, Eslovakia, Israel and Spain. The SENSACTION-AAL project have stated that they intend to design, test and release a next-generation, smart, wireless on-body system which enables:
- Monitoring of Activities of daily living ADLs.
- Simultaneous real-time active control of physical performance using principles such as sensory augmentation and biofeedback.
- Easy-to-wear and easy-to-use.
- Active anywhere, anytime.
- Cost effective.
